據(jù)世界天然氣1月12日消息：馬來西亞國家石油公司(Petronas)與沙撈越殼牌公司(Shell)聯(lián)手，探索在馬來西亞和更廣泛的東南亞地區(qū)的碳捕獲和存儲(CCS)合作機(jī)會。
周二(1月11日)正式簽署了一份聯(lián)合研究和合作協(xié)議(JSCA)，這一努力將見證雙方達(dá)成一項綜合CCS領(lǐng)域發(fā)展計劃，以實現(xiàn)脫碳的雄心。
一旦完成，這項研究將有助于評估潛在的合作領(lǐng)域。

Petronas and Shell ink CCS deal
Petronas has joined forced with Sarawak Shell Behad (Shell) to explore carbon capture and storage (CCS) collaboration opportunities in Malaysia and the wider southeast Asia region.
Formalised on Tuesday (Jan 11th) with a joint study and collaboration agreement (JSCA), the effort will see the duo deliver an integrated CCS area development plan to deliver on decarbonisation ambitions.
once complete, the study will help assess potential areas for collaboration.
Adif Zulkifli, Executive Vice-President and CEO of Upstream at Petronas, said, “Petronas has a long-standing partnership with Shell.”
“We are confident that this latest collaboration will inspire more innovation towards managing carbon emissions and advancing our shared ambition of delivering energy solutions in a responsible and sustainable manner.”
He continued, “This collaboration underscores Petronas’ continuous efforts to explore partnership opportunities in CCS. We will continue this trajectory to unlock opportunities which could potentially help reduce emissions and achieve our net zero carbon emissions aspirations.”
Petronas’ collaboration with Shell builds on its previously inked deal with ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia to explore opportunities CCS technologies in the same geography.
